Welcome To My Website
My name is Chuck Stocks, sometimes known as "Carlos the Quilter". (There's a funny story behind that name, ask me and I'll give you the history behind it!).
I've been doing computerized quilting for over 6 years now. I started with a small system designed basically for home use to finish the quilts my wife Jill made. After some of her friends started asking me to do their quilts also, I found that my home system was just too limited in it's capabilities. I started looking at various professional systems at major quilt shows and talked to dealers and manufacturing reps to see what was available . I decided on a gammill longarm with Statler Sticher computer guidance. It was the most versatile system available with more capabilities and user options than any other. I also have a 14 foot frame which is the longest one made. This allows me to quilt a project up to 144 inches wide. With over 7,000 patterns I can always find a pattern that's just right for your quilt.
Below you'll find lots of information, from preparing your quilt, choosing a pattern, designers' websites, and completed projects to free block patterns and general quilting information. Feel free to browse through the sections and enjoy yourself!

Preparing Your Quilt
|
There are scores of pattern designers with tens of thousands of patterns to choose from. How do you decide which pattern will make yours the perfect quilt? Click for Helpful Hints. I have over 7,000 patterns, with more being added all the time. I have included several of the more popular categories with a number of patterns in each. If you don't see one that just "flips your switch", we can look through the rest of my collection and find the one that does. Another option is to browse through the designer websites to find one you like. Call me with the pattern name and designer and I can tell you if I have it. If not, I can download it and have it immediately available. The price is always listed on the site, but typically runs $8 to $15.
